Bulgari BVL 100

One of the smallest mechanical movements of the 21st century, weighing just 1.30 grams with 102 components. Features back-winding and back-setting via a crown on the caseback - turning in one direction sets the time, the other winds the movement. Uses a white gold balance for maximum inertia and a side-lever escapement configuration. The 170mm mainspring is coiled into a tiny 5mm barrel. Designed for Bulgari's Serpenti Misteriosi high jewelry secret watches, where the movement is hidden inside a snake's head that opens by pressing the forked tongue.
