The original El Primero, one of the first automatic chronograph movements ever produced. Announced January 10, 1969. Features an unusually high beat rate of 36,000 vph (5 Hz), enabling 1/10 second timing precision. The date is displayed at 4:30 position. Production ceased around 1975 during the quartz crisis. The movement was reissued in 1985 as Cal. 400.
