The modern hand-wound Cricket caliber, developed when Vulcain was revived in 2001. A 12-ligne (27.07mm) mechanical alarm movement that builds upon the legendary Cal. 120's architecture while incorporating modern improvements. Features the signature double-barrel design: one barrel stores energy for the movement (42-hour power reserve) and a separate barrel powers the mechanical alarm (approximately 20 seconds duration). The crown at 3 o'clock winds both barrels - clockwise charges the alarm, counter-clockwise charges the timekeeping mechanism. The V-10 incorporates Vulcain's patented Exactomatic system which equalizes friction on the balance staff in all positions by modifying the endstones of the Incabloc shock-absorbers, resulting in more regular amplitude and enhanced precision. The post-2015 version (V-10 H2) was updated with 165 components (up from 157), 25 jewels, and CAD/CAM-manufactured parts including distinctive skeletonized ratchet wheels with a wheel-spoke design. Features nickel-plated treatment with blued screws and Côtes de Genève decoration.
