The ML 258 is Maurice Lacroix's Square Wheel Retrograde caliber, combining a Sellita SW200 base with an in-house developed complication module manufactured in Saignelégier, Switzerland. This movement powers the Masterpiece Square Wheel Retrograde collection, featuring the iconic square wheel seconds display at 9 o'clock and a retrograde date arc from 4 to 6 o'clock. The skeletonized rotor is decorated with Côtes de Genève, while exposed parts are rhodium-plated and sandblasted. This hybrid approach allowed Maurice Lacroix to offer the Square Wheel complication at a more accessible price point than the fully in-house ML 156.
