The Junghans J84 (caliber 684.80) is a vintage German hand-wound movement from the 1950s-1960s, found in the classic Junghans Trilastic watches. With 17 jewels ('Siebzehn Steine') and Junghans in-house shock protection, it was a high-grade movement of its era. The 'S' variants indicate different configurations. This movement was used in some of the earliest Max Bill-influenced designs before the formal Max Bill collection was established in 1961.
