The Junghans 687.00 (also known as J87/10) is a vintage German hand-wound movement produced from 1963 to 1966. At 11½ lignes (25.6mm), it's a full-sized men's movement featuring a Glucydur screwless balance wheel with a slow beat rate of 18,000 vph (2.5Hz). Notable for its unique Junghans in-house shock protection with distinctively large cap jewels, and yoke winding system - an upgrade over the simpler rocking bar system found in most Junghans movements of that era. The movement represents the peak of German mechanical watchmaking before the quartz era.
