The legendary Atmos movement is powered by atmospheric temperature changes. A hermetically sealed capsule containing ethyl chloride gas expands and contracts with temperature variations, winding the mainspring. A 1°C temperature change provides 48 hours of power. The torsion pendulum oscillates only twice per minute (120 vph), enabling the movement to run virtually forever with minimal wear.
