The F.P. Journe Caliber 1300.3 QP powers the Quantième Perpétuel, built on the Octa automatic base with a sophisticated perpetual calendar module. The calendar displays day, date (large aperture F.P. Journe style), month, and leap year indication, with an instantaneous jump mechanism. An ingenious F.P. Journe system accumulates energy and releases it instantaneously when date, day, or month changes, then slows down at the end of its route. The perpetual calendar features a mechanical 'memory' of 1461 days (4 years), with a planet wheel connected to the month mechanism completing one rotation every four years. Unlike complex perpetual calendars, all corrections except month rapid correction are made via the three-position crown - the month corrector is a protected lever beneath the 1 o'clock lug. Leap years display 'L' in red, years 1-3 in black. Movement in 18K rose gold with 22K 5N gold off-center rotor, unidirectional winding via self-locking ball bearing.
