The BM12-1975A is Baume & Mercier's flagship in-house movement, developed in collaboration with ValFleurier (Richemont). It features the innovative Powerscape escapement with silicon escape wheel and lever, plus the TwinSpir balance spring made of two layers of silicon for superior antimagnetic properties (resistant to 1500 gauss). COSC-certified chronometer with accuracy of -4/+6 seconds per day. The 5-day power reserve is designed to last a full work week. Service intervals of 10+ years are claimed thanks to optimized lubricants and silicon components.
