Longines is the oldest trademark still in use in its original form registered with WIPO. Founded in 1832 by Auguste Agassiz in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, the company pioneered numerous watchmaking innovations including the first chronograph movement (1878) and first flyback chronograph (1934). The winged hourglass logo was registered in 1889 and remains unchanged. The Heritage collection faithfully reinterprets historic models including the Legend Diver and Military watches. Longines has been part of the Swatch Group since 1983.
